Apartments in Auburn -- Part of a Community That Gets Better by the Day!

Even though the Auburn University campus is almost as old as the City of Auburn itself, the excitement in this city goes far beyond the campus walls. It has seen tremendous growth over the past couple of decades, so if you're looking for an apartment in Auburn, you're certainly not alone. In fact, it's estimated that the population here grew a whopping 24% between 2000 and 2010!

Here's why so many people flock here every year:

- There is a near-endless array of professional job opportunities

It's no surprise that Auburn University is the biggest employer in town, but you don't have to limit your job search to campus. The city itself has invested in industrial development in recent years -- leading to facilities like Auburn Industrial Park and Auburn Technology Park North, South, and West that each house thousands of employees. Most of the manufacturing firms in these facilities are small and medium businesses, with an emphasis on things like wireless technology, aviation, engines, and aluminum equipment.

Another major employer here is the East Alabama Medical Center (EAMC), which is home to nearly 350 beds, a cancer center, and assisted living facilities.

Tourism has also started playing a bigger role in Auburn's economy, so there is a need for travel-related marketers. And, as the permanent population continues to grow, there is a growing need for people in the retail and food preparation industries.

If you're willing to expand your job search a little bit, Kia has a manufacturing plant about 35 miles northeast of Auburn, off I-85. Hyundai has a plant about an hour south of Auburn, also off of I-85.

- It's become a fine arts hub

As much as Auburn's residents love their college football, they also love more upscale entertainment. Once you move into your Auburn apartment, you'll be able to enjoy the work featured at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art, the musicals at Telfair Peet Theatre, the smaller productions at the Auburn Area Community Theater, and the performances done by the Auburn Community Orchestra.

- It's a golfer's paradise

Auburn is consistently ranked as one of the best places to play golf in the entire country. The area is home to six different courses, many of which have hosted both amateur and professional tournaments.

- It's easily accessible

While it may not have a giant population (yet!), living in an Auburn apartment isn't even remotely like living in the middle of nowhere! In addition to all of the amenities you'll find around town, you'll also have easy access to I-85, Highway 280, Highway 29, and Alabama Highway 14. Atlanta and Birmingham are each less than two hours away, and Mobile is only three and a half hours away.
